Vibration-principle density meters are the most common on industrial sites, and both the PS7400 tuning fork and the PS7210 Coriolis recover density from a frequency shift. Sharing a physical root does not make them interchangeable — but the differences are not the ones usually assumed.
Correcting a common assumption
Coriolis is often described as the higher accuracy class. Against our own published figures that is not the case: both are specified at ±0.001 g/cm³, and their repeatability figures are the same quantity in different units — ±0.0001 g/cm³ for the PS7400, ±0.1 kg/m³ for the PS7200 family. The real decision is made elsewhere, and on several of those axes the fork is ahead.
